The BMW X5 is a luxury sports utility vehicle, first introduced in 1999.and was the first SUVs to be known as “four by four” in the United Kingdom. The car is available in manual and automatic transmission and features all wheel drive. The car came in a range of v8’s, diesel engines. The BMW Company describes X5 as an sports activity vehicle rather than a sports utility vehicle, just to emphasize on its road ability rather than its size. The X5 had a truck based body on frame. The BMW e 53 X5 was a crossover vehicle and was manufactured from 1999 to 2006, which has been replaced by the BMW e70.the model E53 was developed when BMW owned land rover so the X5 still bears features of it. The engine size of the E53 X5 ranged from 3.0 L to 4.8 L.

The E70 was the second generation X% sports activity vehicle, which replaced the older model E53.the newer version featured many new advancements in term of technology,

including the I drive system and for the very first time the X5 had an option of the third row seat. These generations incorporated many safety features and a unique rear framing section.

It also had the new front bumper and new air intakes and had an engine capacity ranging from 3.0 L to 4.4 L.
