Bull fight in Europe
Bull fight mean “running of bulls”. In Spain and in France it is a traditional sight. It is considered as a bloody sport as the bulls involved in the sport are killed in an arena containing millions of people. It may seem to be disturbing for many people and has gained a lot of criticism from the people all around the globe but for the people in Europe killing a bull is a ritual and a tradition. Bull fighting originated when men on foot tried to position their bulls on horses, which in turn gathered a lot of locals and since then this positioning of the bulls took form and now it is considered as a blood sport Bullfight is usually held in a bull ring. This tradition is a part of the Spanish history,

 

 

 

for thousand of years. The killing is carried out by professional performers usually known as the “toreros”, performing various moves and skills within bullring in order to repress the bull. The moves are performed at a very close range with the bull and in some cases it has resulted in serious injury and sometimes even death to the performer. The bull fight is usually ended with the killing of the bull by the performers,

 

 

 

who jab a sharp knife in the spinal cord of the bull. In Portugal performers try to grab and hold on to the horns of the bull as it runs wt them with rage an anger. The performers are dressed in the traditional colorful dresses with long beautiful hats. There are various styles in fighting the bulls that are practiced all over Europe .the classic and the traditional style is the one in which the bull is killed.

 

 

 

Apart of the tradition, bull fight still receives heavy criticism and is considered as a barbaric and ruthless sport in which the bull dies a stressful, slow death. Bullfight is banned in many countries people being a apart of this are subjected to imprisonment and a heavy fine. In Portugal bull fighting is now banned, even the broadcasting of bullfights in prohibited.
