The
Chartres cathedral, located on the
southwest corner of Paris, in Chartres,
the cathedral is considered as a perfect
example of the gothic designing and
style of architecture. The cathedral
is build around the fields of wheat,
and the church is the first sight
when a visitor comes to the city,
the huge spires on it are enough catch
a glimpse of the beautiful cathedral.
The building back in the ages was
the most important building of the
city, as most of the economic activities
used to take place there, as people
used to trade and sell their goods
in the cathedral like textile, fuel
and may different items, some people
tried selling wine there but they
were banned from entering the cathedral,
but were given a small spot were they
could sell it. |
