Suzuki GSX-R1000
The GSX-r 1000 is a sports bike and it was launched in 2001 to replace the GSX-R1100, and it is powered by a 1000 cc liquid cool, inline 4 cylinder engine
In 2001 Suzuki launched the GSX-R That successfully replaced the most powerful and the largest version of the R series sports bike, with the new version the “GSX-R1000”,the engines size was roughly around 1000cc and was about hundred cc smaller than it predecessor. The bike is not the large model version of the model GSX-r750, although it had some of the features like the frame of both the models were same, but the designs and styling was different on the other model, the R1000- engine is a redeveloped version of the R-750 engine, and was heavier .

 

 

 

The R1000 engine produced an output of 160 break horse power, with a top speed of 180 miles pre hour. Using titanium for the silencer of the bike made the bike lighter and easy to gain high speeds. In 2003, a newer version of the bike came into being, which was lighter, faster and better than the previous version. The dimensions of the bike were same as that of the earlier bike. The R1000 was much improved in its weight and had more power and handled better.

 

 

 

The front brakes of the new version were also new. The headlights of the new bike were also placed vertically to give the bike more air intake space, where as the engine remained the same. In 2007, the company Suzuki came up with a brand new version of the R1000,the new bike was a little heavie,

 

 

 

r than the older version that was because of the new exhaust system that was placed, with new aerodynamics and a new and a faster engine that was capable of producing 168 break horse power. It also featured the new mapping system fro the biker to choose from.
