Tower of London
The tower of London is London’s most popular and famous places that attract thousand of tourist each year, built by the famous conqueror William, the tower has played a role of fortress, a prison and a palace. The tower is a complex of several buildings and set between huge defensive walls and a trench. The tower, earlier served as a grand palace and was a royal residence and sometimes even used as a place of refuge during the times of war, but today it is considered as a place from prisoners, earlier it was used to act as one, it was used to torture and execute people. Execution was a common sight in the tower but the tower never had purpose like this.

 

 

 

The tower has served throughout history a place for arms and ammunition, a record office for the public and as a home of the many famous and expensive crown jewels of England, even thought the tower was once considered as a symbol of cruelty but now is a most popular tourist attraction for the towers historic legacy.

 

 

 

London has the most strongest and famous defenses overlooking the beautiful city. There are three enclosure of the tower .the first one contains the white tower, which is the strongest part of the castle, it is one of the largest finding in the christen world and the earliest part of the castle. The innermost enclosure stretches to the edge of the river Thames. Finally coming to the inner enclosure of the tower,

 

 

 

which was built at the time, when a trench was being dug around the castle, for its enemies. The tower now has become an iconic attraction for the tourists, as there’s so much to see in the tower including the arm our Henry VIII wore, the instruments that were used to torture the prisoners in the tower and the traitor’s gate.
